A tourist snorkelling for lobster in Cornwall has died after being pulled from the sea.
Peter Ivimey, 52, from London, was on holiday in Cornwall and was found unconscious in the water at Prussia Cove on Thursday afternoon.
This is Cornwall reports that a coastguard team along with police attended the scene.
Inspector Jean Phillips said: "A member of the public came across him in the sea; they recovered him and carried out CPR."
Mr Ivimey was airlifted to Royal Cornwall Hospital by rescue helicopter but was pronounced dead on arrival.
A police spokesman told Sky News: "His next of kin have been informed in London and police are not treating the death as suspicious at this time.
"The coroner has been informed."
According to This is Cornwall, it is thought Mr Ivimey was staying at a nearby campsite.
