Pictures: National Geographic Travel Photo Competition Winners 2013

National Geographic Traveler Magazine has picked the winners of their prestigious 2013 photo contest from more than 15,500 entries from professional and amateur photographers around the world.

Wagner Araujo was the outright winner of the 2013 competition with his black and white action shot of the Brazilian Aquathlon championship in Manaus, Brazil and his prize was an incredible 10-day Galápagos Expedition with National Geographic Expeditions for him and a guest.

"I was in Manaus, Amazonas, during the Brazilian Aquathlon (swimming and running) championship. I photographed it from the water and my lens got completely wet, but there was so much energy in these boys that I just didn't worry about that."
