Man falls to his death from cruise ship balcony

A man has died on a Caribbean cruise after falling from his cabin balcony and landing on an open deck on Tuesday.

KVUE reports that the 39-year-old victim, who was on the Carnival cruise ship the Carnival Magic, was sitting on the balcony railing when he fell three stories below.

According to Examiner, the fall was an accident and it has not been said whether alcohol was involved or not.

The ship was in the Gulf of Mexico en route to its first port of call at Mahogany Bay, Isla Roatan.

The Carnival team is providing assistance to the man's family.
