Toyota to recall 174,000 cars globally

Toyota is recalling roughly 174,000 vehicles around the world, including the popular Yaris supermini, due to an issue with the power steering.

A glitch in the electric power steering system, which could cause the steering to become unnaturally heavy, has led to Toyota registering a global recall today with the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA) for some of its Yaris and Verso-S models.
