Just weeks after returning to the dangerous sport following a serious injury, Spanish bullfighter Rafael Cerro was tossed by a Lozano's ranch bull during a bullfight at Las Ventas bullring in Madrid.
Cerro was thrown in the air by the 75-stone bull and gored in the backside in front of hundreds of spectators.
The Irish Independent reports that the 23-year-old turned his back on the animal for a second when it charged at him.
Luckily he managed to walk away with minor bruising.
According to the Daily Mail, he was not the only matador to be injured.
Sebastian Ritter was gored twice in the back of his leg and was forced to end the fight.
Bullfighting is an ancient tradition in Spain and the season runs from March to October.
