Impatient road workers lay new surface around parked cars

Swinton town council has come under fire from furious locals after they awoke to find road workers had laid a new tarmac surface around their parked cars.

Residents in Poplar and Wentworth road had their cars surrounded by sticky bitumen, after impatient workmen decided to carry on with improvements before ensuring the road was clear.
