George Clooney and Matt Damon surprise guests at Pontins in Camber Sands

Last week they stunned residents of tiny village Fingest in Buckinghamshire and this week Hollywood heartthrobs George Clooney and Matt Damon have surprised guests at Pontins in Camber Sands, East Sussex, by taking over the resort to shoot scenes for their new film Monuments Men.

According to The Sun, the cast and crew booked 85 rooms at the holiday park.

A source told the newspaper that it wasn't just a place to rest their heads and work, as the cast and crew enjoyed a cabaret show on Tuesday night.

"They've been in and out - you can't miss them," the source added.

Clooney and Damon were also spotted trying the local cuisine and stopped for fish and chips at a pub in Rye.

Even though they're worth £200 million combined, the pair seemed quite happy mingling with the locals and were spotted working out at a free gym this week, the Daily Mail reports.

Matt reportedly spent an hour on the weights and exercise machines and returned the next day with George.

They then used the sports hall to play basketball with their bodyguards.

Manager of the sports centre Liane Shadrack, 42, told the Daily Mail: "You do not expect to be working out next to Matt Damon. It was quite bizarre.

"I think some members found it a bit distracting and maybe didn't work out to their full potential that night. He was just completely laid back, chatting to staff and members.

"We were really busy on the Sunday and we only had one slot left between 1pm and 2pm so I said to Matt Damon that I would reserve it for him.

"It was great that he came back and brought George Clooney with him. Everyone was in shock. They are both so handsome."
