Cost warning over electric heating

Households that rely on electric heating could pay the highest price for Government energy policies to decarbonise generation and support consumers, according to a report.

Electrically heated homes will make up 11% of households by 2020 and pay 19% of the total cost of the Government's energy policies, but will receive just 7% of the benefits, the study commissioned by the Consumer Futures watchdog predicts.%VIRTUAL-SkimlinksPromo%
