Woman's body found on Norfolk beach
Police are investigating after the body of a woman was found on Winterton Beach, near Great Yarmouth, yesterday afternoon.
BBC News reports that police cordoned off the area and are currently treating the death as unexplained.
Winterton-on-Sea is a small, unspoilt East Norfolk seaside village. The sand dunes are a nature reserve, classified of an area of outstanding natural beauty, and the beach is popular with walkers and bird watchers.
A colony of grey seals live just north of Winterton, and can often be seen basking on the beach.
