Diego Maradona reportedly lost his temper with a fellow plane passenger who allegedly offered him diet supplements.

The footballer has famously battled with his weight, so when Nicolas Infantidis got a steward to hand him some free dietary pills, it didn't go down too well.

The soccer star, 52, was on a flight from Dubai to Buenos Aires Airport when the incident occurred.

When they all got off the plane, Nicolas spotted Maradona posing for pics, and told his girlfriend, football player Rocio Oliva, 22, that it was him that sent over the supplements.

Mr Infantidis told The Sun: "He grabbed my arm and pushed me yelling 'What is wrong with you?'.

"She was very embarrassed. He was totally freaked out and for me he had a strong smell of alcohol on his breath.

"I complained to the airline saying that they should have more control over alcoholic drinks, it was totally out of order."

But that wasn't the end of Maradona's travelling troubles.

According to the Mirror, he then ordered his bodyguards to push their way past photographers, shouting, "walk and elbow them", while making his way through customs.

And, later on, he told his driver to stop his car in the middle of the motorway and allegedly hurled stones at pursuing photographers.

While in Argentina, he met his three-month-old son, Diego, with ex-girlfriend Veronica Ojeda, 33.

Back in 1994, Maradona got a suspended jail sentence for shooting at reporters with an air rifle.
