Hit-and-run victim suffers high-speed ordeal after clinging to bonnet

A man hit by a car has narrowly avoided serious injury after being taken on a high-speed ride while he clung to the bonnet by his fingernails.

Elton Kim, of Roswell, Georgia, had attempted to block the path of a driver who had hit his wife's 4x4 in a car park outside his dry cleaning business.
But rather than stop and exchange details, the reckless female driver drove straight at Mr Kim, knocking him onto the bonnet.

It was what occurred next that defies belief. The unnamed driver sped off, taking Mr Kim on a two-mile white-knuckle ride down a highway at high speeds.

The businessman only managed to avoid being killed by clinging onto the trailing edge of the bonnet.

Mr Kim finally managed to get off the car when the driver was forced to stop at a set of red lights.

Speaking to US news channel WSB-TV about the incident, Mr Kim said: "I said 'Stop it' three times, then I go to the front of the car."

He added that it was "very dangerous" and that he was "very lucky".

Reports indicate that police have identified the driver and are currently preparing to charge her.

Video footage of Mr Kim's terrifying ordeal as a bonnet adornment has surfaced and you can watch it below.
