Picture of the day: lions sunbathing in Portugal

This beautiful picture shows two of the dangerous animals on earth - cuddling up and taking a snooze in the sun.

The pair were captured on camera by photographer Mike Krom on a visit to Lisbon Zoo.

They don't look as if they have a care in the world as they soak up the Portuguese sunshine.
