Online sales boost for John Lewis

Department store chain John Lewis said it had notched up online annual sales of £1 billion for the first time and a year earlier than planned.

The group, which is part of the John Lewis Partnership, said it reached the milestone on a rolling 52-week basis, having recently revealed that sales through johnlewis.com soared 41% to £959 million in 2012 and accounted for a quarter of trade.%VIRTUAL-SkimlinksPromo%
