Pair attacked by meat cleaver-wielding carjackers

A driver of a VW Polo and his passenger were dragged from their car and threatened with a meat cleaver by a pair of carjacking thugs in Bolton, Greater Manchester.

Police officers said the violent duo threw a bottle at the moving car - forcing the driver to stop - before swinging the meat cleaver that narrowly missed seriously injuring the 19-year-old driver, smashing a side window with a brick, dragging the passenger onto the street and speeding off.
