Video: Fernando Alonso tests the LaFerrari

Two-time Formula 1 World Champion Fernando Alonso is used to tackling tracks at a blistering pace but he still manages to grin like a child in a sweet shop behind the wheel of Maranello's latest hypercar.

The LaFerrari boasts a 6.3-litre V12 engine combined with an electric motor to produce a maximum power figure of a whopping 963bhp. The 0-62mph sprint time is said to be under three seconds and the top speed is in excess of 217mph.
