It's not often that an idea born from the minds of the Top Gear presenters actually makes it to reality but Japanese scientists at Hitachi have created a single-seater transport solution that appears to be eerily similar to Jeremy Clarkson's P45 robot car.

Jeremy's P45- allegedly the world's smallest car – looked a bit like Buzz Lightyear's motorised cousin but the lanky presenter managed to pilot it around the roads of Guildford at speeds of up to 31mph.
