Harry Potter star Tom Felton was so worried about his pet dog flying alone to visit him in Los Angeles that he wrote British Airways a note asking the airline to take good care of his pooch.

The Sun reports that the actor, who played Draco Malfoy in the wizard series, arranged for his dog Timber to be flown to LA on a British Airways jet, where he would pick her up.

Felton took to Twitter to share a picture of his cute dog on a cushion, accompanied by a letter he wrote to BA staff in her name.

He wrote: 'Dear @British_Airways pilot. Please get my little girl here safely, she's very precious.....thank you! x'

The note read: 'Hi I'm Timber. I'm very nervous and scared so please be kind to me and lift me carefully so I don't panic.

'I'm flying with British Airways on flight BA 269 at 1500 to arrive in LAX (Los Angeles) at 1805 where my Daddy will be picking me up.

'Please be nice to me and reassure me as I'm a really nervous flyer. Thank you so much. I hope you have a lovely day! Timbs.'

The airline responded to Tom's tweet: 'Hope Timber enjoys her flight Tom.'

After picking Timber up from the airport, Tom tweeted a picture of his dog's safe arrival and wrote: 'Very happy to report a safe landing of Timber in LA. Thank you @British_Airways for taking great care of her x'

The UK carrier replied: '@TomFelton Tom, the pleasure was all ours and we hope to see your gorgeous Timber again soon.'
