Upcoming Honda NSX takes to the track... sort of
A video has been created using the Gran Turismo racing simulator that offers an extremely realistic insight into exactly how the new NSX will behave at high speeds.
The CGI clips get beaneath the skin of Honda's creation and clearly show how power is being driven to the outside of the wheel, which will reduce understeer and allow this car to thunder through corners.
The new NSX is powered by Honda's Sport Hybrid SH-AWD, which features a mid-mounted V6 petrol engine mated to three electric motors – one linked to the engine at the rear and two up front, driving the front wheels.
Motoring nuts will have to wait a few years to drive the NSX for real, but owners of Gran Turismo 5 will be able test the metal far earlier when a downloadable content package becomes available for the game.
This isn't the first time a manufacturer has turned to the Gran Turismo platform to tease an upcoming car. The Corvette C7 was available to 'drive' long before the American firm unveiled it for real.
Watch the video below and see the futuristic NSX in action, albeit virtual action
