Video: Skier buried by avalanche manages to dig himself out
The incredible moment a skier was able to dig himself out from underneath an avalanche has been caught on a helmet camera.
The man can be seen gracefully swooshing down the slopes in Vasilitsa, Greece, when he turns to see a huge wall of snow creeping up behind him.
He then grabs onto a branch for dear life, before being swamped by the avalanche.
The GoPro helmet cam continues recording as the man struggles to free himself from his predicament, with his heavy breathing audible.
But, thankfully, his bid for freedom is successful and he continues skiing to the bottom after reassuring his friends he's okay.
