Has winter gone forever? It finally looks as if Spring is here, with temperatures climbing to higher than average for the time of year.

Yes, you read that right. Temperatures are finally beginning to rise, with the mercury reaching as high as 13C in areas by the middle of the week.

According to the Met Office, Tuesday looks set to be a dry and bright day with sunny spells, and temperatures will stay at around 12C-13C for the rest of the week.

Unfortunately, this first taste of Spring isn't likely to last for very long. While mild temperatures will remain, there'll be some rain towards the end of the week.

A Met Office spokesperson told the Daily Mail: "It's possibly becoming a little bit cooler for the weekend. Today, Monday and Tuesday, it is looking mostly dry across the majority of the country with varying amounts of cloud and sunshine depending on where you are.

The best conditions will be in the south, according to Vantage Weather Solutions
