Audi RS4 Avant goes paintballing
The RS4 boasts handling prowess that makes many other cars green with envy and what better way to underline that point than by pitting two new Avant editions against each other in a paintball battle.
Audi engineers have done just that in the exhilarating video below that shows two RS4 estates burning rubber and firing paintballs from bonnet-mounted guns.
The video was shot in a disused Ministry of Defence hangar that featured a low-friction surface, allowing the powerful cars to scuttle and slide their way out of the path of the projectile paint.
The RS4 Avant packs the same 4.2-litre V8 used in the RS5. It sends just under 450bhp and 430Nm of torque to all four wheels, and it can make the trip from 0-62 mph in just 4.7 seconds.
According to Motor Authority, the chaps behind the wheels were veteran stuntmen Jim Dowdall and Colin Skeaping, whose body of work includes various James Bond films, Indiana Jones films, Saving Private Ryan and Batman.
Dowdall, in the black car, was the stunt double for Harrison Ford's Han Solo character in Star Wars, while Skeaping was the stunt double for Mark Hamill's Luke Skywalker.
