Woman found dead on north Devon beach
A woman has been found dead on Westward Ho! beach in north Devon.
The 31-year-old's body was found on the beach on Saturday; it is though she had been sleeping rough in a car for several weeks.
Police said her clothed body was found by a dog walker at around 9.20am on Saturday.
Her body was initially taken to Westward Ho! coastguard station by a coastguard crew.
Devon and Cornwall police said the death was not currently being treated as suspicious, but instead as unexplained.
Westward Ho! businessman Rob Braddick told This Is North Devon: "It is being talked about but no one seems to know much. I had noticed a young woman sleeping in her car around the village for the last couple of months and hadn't noticed her again since the weekend so I didn't know if it was her."
