The FTSE 100 was 13 points down yesterday, finishing at 6,103.9. TUI Travel soared +3.9% following merger talks while Imperial Tobacco Group sank -4.67%, the biggest faller.

Overnight, there was some uneven trading in Asia with the Nikkei rising a smidge to 10,609, while the Hang Seng fell -0.11% to 23,471.
