Patrician Cornwell, the writer who created medical examiner Dr Kay Scarpetta, and sold over 100 million books featuring her heroine, is currently in court. She is suing a firm of financial advisers and a business manager who she says lost her millions and saw her fortune reduced to just $13 million.
