Few know bank compensation limits

Only one in 10 people knows how much of their money would be protected if their bank went under, new research by the savings safety net has found.

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) said that more than five years on from the start of the financial crisis and the rush of customers withdrawing money from Northern Rock, awareness about compensation is still too low.
