Woman dies in Aberdeenshire beach swim
A 26-year-old woman died after getting into difficulty while swimming at a popular beach in Aberdeenshire.
The woman was pulled out of the water by three people at Balmedie Beach, The Press and Journal reports.
A rescue helicopter took her to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where she later died, the BBC reports.
According to STV, police said a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
