Will minimum alchol price help us avoid more booze taxes?
I like a drink as much as the next person and like most people my age my social life revolves around a few pints, but despite liking to indulge in a nice bottle of wine I'm all for the minimum unit price for alcohol.
The government has proposed a 45p minimum price per unit meaning that supermarkets will have to ditch their tempting offers and a can of beer will cost at least 90p, a bottle of wine £4.05 and a standard size bottle of vodka will cost at least £11.70.
