Range of savings accounts down 15%

The choice of savings accounts on the market has shrunk by 15% since the start of the year, and there is no end in sight to savers' "nightmare", a consumer help website has warned.

There are 2,038 savings accounts, including Isas, now available, compared with 2,389 in January, according to Moneyfacts.co.uk.
