Most markets slid south yesterday. The FTSE 100 ended the day -0.56% down at 5,786 points. British American Tobacco saw the biggest gain, up a modest +0.9% while Barclays was the biggest faller, down -5.4%.

Overnight in Asia the Nikkei 225 continued to climb, up almost +0.4% to 9,423 while the Hang Seng also rose, up +0.19% at 21,902.
