BMW 1M to return: Next 1-Series amongst 20 front wheel drive BMWs

BMW are reported to have up to 20 front-wheel-drive models in the pipeline, all sharing platforms with the next generation MINI, but will bring back the popular 1M before then.

This new platform will first be available with the next MINI hatch, closely followed by new Convertible, Coupe and Clubman variants. It will also be shared with the BMW Concept Active Tourer, when it goes into production.
