Auction firm Bonhams is all set to auction off the King of Cool's iconic motorbike in January.

The Third Annual Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction will be held in January 2013, and it'll feature a special bike known all around the world to film buffs and motorcycle fanatics.
The 1970 Husqvarna 400 Cross, as used by Steve McQueen in the classic film "On Any Sunday", will be going under the hammer at Bally's Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, on January 10. It's estimate is between $80,000 and $100,000.

The bike was owned and ridden by the legendary actor and comes with what Bonhams describes as an "exhaustive quantity of documents supporting its provenance and authenticity".

The "Husky" is a special bike as it marked the start of McQueen's affection for the Swedish motorcycle producer. Husqvarnas were introduced to America in 1970, and quickly became a favourite of McQueen's despite his love of Triumphs.

The sale will also see a quartet of BMW racing motorcycles – including the ultra-rare Kompressor – and an original 1902 Rambler from the Indian Motorcycle Musuem.

AOL Cars will report back on how much the McQueen Husky made in January.
