It doesn't seem possible but Fiat is celebrating building one million retro 500s in just five years.
The model first burst onto the scene in 2007 and has since been lapped up by customers all around the world.
The millionth vehicle is a Lounge version in Funk White and fitted with Fiat's 1.2-litre 67bhp engine – and thanks to thousands of trim choices, Fiat says the car is unique.
The car has been an enormous success for the Italian firm. In 2008 the Fiat 500 achieved a 13.9 per cent share in the European market, and the following year it recorded top sales volumes of approximately 186,000 units.
In fact, the original Fiat 500 of 1957 – with more than 3.4m units produced until August 1975 – took four years of production to reach 180,000 registrations.
