Paralympics sponsorship and investment in cheaper own-brand products has helped supermarket Sainsbury's take market share from rivals Tesco and Morrisons, data has revealed.


Sainsbury's, the UK's third largest supermarket chain, grew market share by 0.4 percentage points year-on-year to 16.8% in the 12 weeks to October 28.
