Video: Plane in Russia makes dodgiest take off ever

We've seen some scary take-offs in our time, but this Russian aircraft taking off in swamp is definitely among worst.

This video, posted by NYCAviation TV, was taken in Bodaybo, Russia, which has been a tad muddy recently (it sits on the banks of the Vitim River, which doesn't help).

We just can't imagine what the pilot was thinking...and at the same time, we're rather thankful that we weren't on the plane at the time...
