Bellway upbeat as profits surge

Schemes to prop up the house market have helped boost the outlook at new homes builder Bellway, which has announced a big jump in profits and dividend.

The Newcastle-based company sold 5,226 homes in the year to July 31 and plans to increase its number of sales outlets by around 5% in this financial year.
