Dog survives 11-mile ride after being hit by car
A dog has miraculously survived being hit by a car and then travelling at speeds of up to 50mph after getting stuck in the front grate.
The white female poodle mix was hit by the driver of a Toyota in Taunton Massachusetts after running out in front of the car.
The driver reportedly hit the brakes, but did not see the dog, and so continued his journey to Rhode Island, according to the Telegraph.
William Muggle, of the East Providence Animal Control, said another driver spotted the dog stuck in the grill.
The dog is said to be fine, although suffered a concussion and also possibly a ruptured bladder.
According to the Huffington Post, the owners of the dog known as Suzie, identified her, providing veterinary paperwork with the dog's microchip number, after seeing news reports, and called it a "miracle".
