Updates from Xstrata, British Land and ITE Group

A -0.65% drop for the FTSE 100 on Friday; it finished 37 points lower at 5,742. Compass Group, down -2.98%, and Admiral Group, sinking -2.95%, were the biggest Board fallers.

In Asia today the Japanese Nikkei was undermined as a rash of profit warnings arrived; it finished -0.96% down at 8,784 points. Weaker Chinese growth numbers also worried.
