Porsche shows off Panamera Sport Turismo
Porsche has revealed two new models at Paris - the new 911 Carrera 4, and a Panamera 'Sport Turismo' concept.

The Panamera Sport Turismo - a shooting-brake-like concept - features a plug-in hybrid powertrain allowing a range of more than 18 miles on electricity alone at a maximum of 80mph.
Under hard acceleration and with a fully charged battery, 416bhp is on offer - allowing the Sport Turismo to reach 60mph in "less than six seconds", while still managing 80.7mpg.

As on Nissan's Leaf and Chevrolet's Volt, a mobile phone app can be used to check the charge completion of the car's batteries - and select what time to begin charging so as to benefit from cheap overnight electricity.

The Carrera 4 (pictured below) features - as the name suggests - a four-wheel-drive system, and is available on either the 911 Coupe or Cabriolet. For even more grip, rear tyres are each 10mm wider, while rear wheel housings extend outwards by an additional 22mm.
