Big James Bond fan? You might want to take a day trip to see a host of film stars set to appear at UK locations used in the 007 movies to the 50th anniversary of the franchise.

The locations include Eilean Donan Castle in Scotland, Penbryn Beach in Wales, and Stoke Park in England, according to the BBC.

Sir Roger Moore, now 84, who starred in seven Bond films between 1973 and 1985, has officially launched the event called 007 Days of Bond. He set the digital timer on a golden briefcase containing the first box set of all 22 Bond films on Blu-ray, which will travel the length of Great Britain from Monday 17 to Monday 24 September.

To mark the Golden Anniversary of James Bond on film, the golden briefcase will set off in an Aston Martin DBS, featured in Quantum of Solace, from Eilean Donan Castle in the Scottish Highlands at 10.07am on Monday 17 September, embarking on a seven-day journey, finishing in London.

According to 007.com, after sending the briefcase off on its 900 mile journey, Moore said: "I'm delighted to launch this Aston Martin on its tour of Great Britain with its special golden cased cargo, marking 50 years of 007 movies and the release of all 22 films on Blu-ray"

Stars who will appear in the tour also include former Bond girls Eunice Gayson, Britt Ekland and Shirley Eaton, and villain Richard Kiel, who played the unforgettable Jaws character in Moonraker and The Spy Who Loved Me.

Ms Gayson, a Bond girl in Dr No and From Russia With Love in the 1960s, will appear at Eilean Donan Castle in Kyle of Lochalsh on Monday. The castle was also used for The World Is Not Enough, starring Pierce Brosnan.

Later on Monday, a helicopter will retrace the route of a chase scene from From Russia With Love near Lochgilphead, in Argyll, where the scene was filmed.

Over the following days, the event will tour the UK with stop-offs at Penbryn Beach, Ceredigion; Nene Valley Railway, Peterborough; Stoke Park, Buckinghamshire, and The Eden Project, Cornwall.
