Top Gear's The Stig slides back onto TV

Aston Martin's brand new Vanquish has received its UK TV debut at the hands of none other than The Stig.

The dynamic duo star in an advert for the upcoming Top Gear Live show, which runs from October 25-28 at Birmingham's NEC, and sees The Stig powersliding the stunning new £190k Vanquish inside the arena while a member of the Top Gear Live stunt team performs motorcycle tricks.
The 565bhp, 183mph V12 supercar will be one of the star attractions at the show, which has grown in popularity and size over the years. It will feature alongside a whole host of other exotic metal as well as the TG four - Jeremy Clarkson, James May, Richard Hammond and, of course, The Stig.

Billed as "the greatest live motoring event in the world" Top Gear Live 2012 promises to be the biggest and boldest in the show's history.

According to Clarkson, the show will see The Stig "tearing around our brand new indoor track in a selection of unreasonably priced supercars and the three of us will be trying not to set each other on fire in our most dangerous stunt show ever."

It's not all explosions and smoking tyres though as there will be an array of stunning static displays, featuring mouth-watering cars and interactive elements to keep petrol heads of all ages amused.

To reflect the family-friendly theme, Top Gear Live has been scheduled to coincide with the autumn half-term break, with a special "Kids Go Free" promotion for those between the ages of five and 15 - as long as they are accompanied by an adult - attending on the Thursday or Friday.

Family tickets are available for the Saturday and Sunday too.

Ticket prices start at £49 and can be booked through or by phoning 0871 230 5588.
