With its annual carnival as well as the 2014 World Cup and the upcoming Olympics in 2016, Rio is well and truly in the spotlight, and his video shows off some of its beauty.

Shot from funiculars and hilltop buildings by film maker Joe Simon, the video certainly shows off the best of Brazil's cidade maravilhosa (marvelous city). Surrounded by white sand beaches, soaring mountains, verdant rainforests and a glittering sea, this is surely one of the most spectacular settings of any city in the world...
