Brad and Angelina 'book family holiday in the Lake District'

They might have a sprawling luxury chateau in the South of France, but Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have also got a holiday in the Lake District look forward to this year.

Brad and Angelina are planning to take a break from filming in the UK and head to Lake Windermere with their six children, Maddox, 11, Pax, eight, Zahara, seven, Shiloh, six, and four-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox.

The couple have reportedly booked a boathouse for their upcoming stay.

A source told the Mirror: "Angelina has to remain close to the UK because of her filming schedule for Maleficent.

"Originally, the film was supposed to be shooting close to the Lakes, but relocated to a more convenient spot close to Pinewood studios.

"They'd already booked a few days off though, and they didn't want the kids to miss out on their trip up to the Lakes, so they decided to go anyway.

"Brad has rented out an entire boathouse, and the couple have been looking up some local restaurants to dine at whilst there.

"They're also planning a day of quad biking for the kids – and Brad."

The family have just returned from spending the Bank Holiday weekend in the town of Le Touquet in northern France, where they spent £200 at local toy shop, Culture Kid.

According to the Daily Mail, the shop's owners wrote on their Facebook page: "Absolutely charming and sweet family!! Thanks for the visit!"

Cumbria could be looking forward to a hefty boost in the local tourism industry...
