The gender pay gap has been a long-running theme when it comes to women in the workplace, but pay discrepancies are not only hindering working women they are impacting retired women.

A report by MetLife has revealed the average 50-year-old woman aged 50 is earning £11,000 less than the average man of the same age - £19,000 a year compared to £30,000.
