Brits lose £1 billion a year on gambling machines

Up to half a million Brits have a gambling problem, and the government's relaxation of the rules has made things much worse. One consequence of the Gambling Act was the proliferation of a new type of betting terminal that is swallowing £46 billion in stakes every year - and costing Brits £1 billion.

So just how serious is the risk?
