Departing Barclays boss grabs £8.75m

Updated

Scandal and Barclays are two words that seem stuck together. The bank has authorised a £8.75m cash pay-off to senior exec Jerry del Missier - the same man who oversaw the rigging of the Bank of England Libor rate. Del Missier has now quit.

The move is in contrast to Bob Diamond who, though amply rewarded already, gave up bonus sums worth up to £20m.
