This may look like aliens have landed, but this picture actually shows trees buried under a foot of snow close to the Arctic Circle.
Italian student Niccolo Bonfadini spent nine days camping alone in the frozen world to get the amazing snaps.
The extraordinary landscape is located close to the Arctic Circle, where temperatures can drop as low as minus 40 degrees celsius.
In the dramatic sub zero temperatures, the snow and frost become so thick it disguises the entire landscape, creating the eerily beautiful scene.
