Huge increases in train fares to fund expansion

The government has brought out the bunting to announce a massive investment in dramatically improving parts of the rail network. It's a £9.4 billion investment, including £4.2 billion of new schemes. David Cameron called it the "biggest modernisation of our railways since the Victorian era".

However, there's a massive downside - it's going to cost you a fortune.
