Sports Direct buys fashion chain

A designer clothing chain with stores in six city centres has been snapped up by Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley's Sports Direct business.

Neil Prosser, who opened the first Flannels shop in Knutsford, Cheshire in 1976, has sold a 51% stake in the business for an undisclosed sum.
