A brother and sister team are set to open a 'love hotel' for pets in Brazil.

Fabiano Lourdes and his sister Daniela are the brains behind "Animalle Mundo Pet, an eight-story building with an entire floor devoted to doing it doggie style.

According to AFP, the pair have invested $1 million dollars into the mutt-mating venture, which has 60 employees, including veterinarians and biologists and will sell luxury accessories such as $1,000 Swarovski crystal dog collars.

The idea is inspired by the thousands of love motels, which allow Brazilian couples to rent rooms by the hour for amorous purposes.

Fabiano Lourdes, 26, explained: "For many people, the dog is a child who must be well treated.
"Our market studies showed that people work all day long and they do not know where to drop their pets for mating."

Dog owners will have to pay $50 a day for a room, which comes complete with a heart-shaped mirror on the ceiling, red cushions on the floor and dimmed lighting.

But it's not just a place for canines to cop off - the hotel will also have a fitness centre, and areas where dogs can celebrate their birthdays.

Fabiano and Daniela hope to generate sales of over $300,000 a month.

The idea of a dog hotel itself isn't a new one. The Pooch Hotel Hollywood (pictured) opened its doors in May, and features a just-for-dogs spa (with aromatherapy bathing and massage, paw-dicures, Poochberry facials and tooth brushing); All Day Play, where guests can take part in a plentiful amount of indoor supervised playtime; a customised exercise pool; web cameras set up in suites and play areas so owners can visit guests virtually while they are away; and fitness and nutrition management - treadmills are even available for guests who need that little extra exercise.
