Millionaire fined for Swiss tax dodge

A multi-millionaire property developer has been ordered to pay £830,000 in tax, fines and costs to HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) after being found guilty of hiding money in a secret HSBC account in Switzerland.

Michael Shanly, whose fortune is estimated at around £157 million, pleaded guilty to the charges earlier this week.
